What is the best way to brand my workwear?

Having your workwear branded is a great way to maximise your branding without needing to spend lots of time and effort. Branded workwear can make you look professional and demonstrate your expertise in your field. At LJ Workwear, we are experts in applying a range of branding styles to a wide variety of garments. It is easier to brand some garments in certain styles and with certain techniques than others. Fortunately, our many years of knowledge enable us to recommend the right type of branding for your clothes and your business. Our new and top of the range technology means that whatever you need to brand, we can help you achieve it.

Embroidered Workwear

One of the toughest and hardest wearing types of workwear branding is embroidery. It provides a strong and long lasting branding that cannot peel off or come loose in the wash. When we embroider your logo on a garment, we place a frame onto the garment to hold it in place. Then, an automated embroidery machine carries out the embroidery itself. When you provide us with your logo, we create an embroidery file of your logo, we then send this to our machines which then sews off the logo with the relevant colours.

There are very few materials we cannot embroider but do not advise embroidery on particularly thin garments such as very thin t-shirts. The most popular garments to embroider are; polo shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, fleeces, aprons/tabards, jackets and headwear.

Printed Workwear

Printing is another very popular way of branding workwear. With our high quality printing machinery, we are able to print bright, vibrant logos that last. We are able to print using a variety of methods such as direct to garment (DTG), screen printing and direct to film (DTF).

Screen Printed Workwear

Screen Printed Workwear is most suitable for high volumes. Screen Printing uses colourful inks, which are applied to your garment through a series of mesh screens. We divide your logo into its constituent colours. Each colour is then separated, and each is applied through an individual screen. We use a heat lamp after each screen is applied so that the individual colours can dry. Garments are then removed from the carousel and put into a tunnel drier to cure the inks.

Direct to Garment Workwear

Direct to Garment Printing is a modern, high quality method of personalising branded workwear. We use a printer to apply ink directly to the garment. This needs us to use a high quality and modern printer and specialist inks. These high quality inks are absorbed by the fibres in the garment. We also need to apply a fixing agent to the garment to ensure that the colours can adhere properly.

This type of workwear personalisation is most suitable for complex prints. These tend to be complex logos and multiple colours. This type of print works best on lighter materials, such as T-shirts and hoodies. DTG can only be used on garments with a very high cotton content 100% cotton being the best choice.
